About Turbo Diesel Group
South Africa
Turbo Diesel Group South Africa is a leading force in the independent automotive aftermarket, with a proud history spanning three decades of growth, innovation, and technical excellence.
Founded in 1995 as Deca Diesel Injection, the company evolved into Deca Diesel Centre by 2001, establishing South Africa's first Bosch Truck Service Centre, combining turbocharger and diesel injection services with state-of-the-art truck dyno testing.
In 2003, the Group introduced Masterpower Turbochargers South Africa, the first aftermarket turbocharger brand in the local market. Recognizing the growth of Chinese manufacturing, management pivoted to create the AMT Turbochargers brand and formed Precision Power Components (PPC) in 2007.
Between 2007 and 2013, PPC diversified, but in 2013 strategically realigned, focusing exclusively on turbochargers—the core of its operations.
In 2020, after investing in Tier 2 Turbo Technics turbocharger test equipment, Turbo Express was established. Further investment in 2022/3 in Bosch and Hartridge diesel injection test equipment upgraded the facility to OE aftermarket-authorized standards, leading to its evolution into Turbo Diesel Services (TDS).
To complement TDS, Turbo Diesel Components (TDC) was established, focusing on distributing new and remanufactured turbochargers, diesel injection systems, and essential repair parts, resulting in PPC’s renaming to the Turbo Diesel Group.

TDC has since broadened its product range, adding value-added components such as turbo sensors, air intake pipes, oil supply and drain pipes, diesel injection common rail sensors, rotating electrical components, and other associated products, all segmented under the engine management product range.
The Group also includes Independent Aftermarket Marketing (IAM), which specializes in helping businesses across wholesale, retail, fleet, service centres, and specialist repair shops adapt to the digital age. IAM implements and customizes multiple ERP platforms, offering tailored apps and turnkey business solutions.
A key growth strategy has been developing production capabilities. The Group’s flagship brand, AMT Turbochargers, is produced in its own factory, Changzhou 4 Point Engineering, since 2016—owned by sister company AMT Power Systems Limited—and sold internationally. In 2024, the Group expanded production to include Deca Diesel Systems, honoring its original legacy.
